Lacy Pink Squares - Teabag Tiles Set 9Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I made up both beautiful teabags in the simple style shown- to be mounted on a wall hanging card. Sentiments written on the reverse side.

The finished size minus the ribbon is 11.5 cm x 23 cm, So it will fit on a full size A 4 Sheet to make a card

each finished motif is mounted onto an opposite motif backing sheet enlarged to 9.5 cm square and matted on to black10.5 x 10.5 cm The pink organza 2.5 cm wide ribbon is attached in between these layered backing sheets and doubled over at the top and adhered to the back of the black. These are then mounted onto the hanging sheet with a space of 1.5 cm. once the tea bags are made up and have their centre stud attached. The Top tea bag motif I matted onto a square of same print enlarged to 7 cm Square and then onto the backing plate. the second motif I enlarged (just slightly) 2 tiles and cut them out leaving a fine white edge and made an octangle to mount the motif . This then went on the lacy square as shown .

I then turned down and out at 45 degree the top corners to add dimension.

A trick I like to use before making up the tiles into tea bags is to take a matching alcohol pen or a stamp pad and edge each tile with the colour.
