ED180 Aqua MandalaCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This classic looking mandala design has instructions that are so clear and easy to follow it was a pleasure to watch it grow as each section was stitched and then beaded.

I used 2 shades of aqua polyester thread and one dark pink metallic thread to complete the stitching.

The double thread in the centre is one length of light aqua and one length of the metallic pink thread.

The beads I have used for the small seed beads around the outside of the design are blue glass with a bright pink centre.

I also used one of these seed beads for the centre silver rice bead in each group of three rice beads.

I have used a silver floral spacer and a pale aqua glass bead topped with a tiny dark aqua seed bead for the centre of the design. the backing sheet is aqua with a glitter silver peel off around the edge.

The backing sheet is attached to the main white card front with D.S. tape and then the completed topper is then attached to the backing sheet with red power tape.
