Rose Stitching Pattern in 3 SizesCompleted by Gail Pennycuick
OccasionI printed the design onto matte card and cut out the different sizes, so that I could position the one I wanted to use easily.
I cut a rectangle of black card to fit a gold DL card and adhered a torn piece of a musical score, stippled with sepia ink, to it.
I pricked the pattern over the top of this and stitched it according to the instructions; the leaves in dusty green and the rose in gold.
I layered it onto the gold base card and used gold peel-offs for the corners and border.
I completed it with the sentiment plaque and a faux gem. This pattern would have almost unlimited uses; depending on what colour embroidery cotton and backing paper and card used, it could look totally different each time.
