Stitching with beads

Thank you, for this delightful design, Emy, I found it one of the quickest and easiest I have made from your amazing designs I have made to date. I used 2 shades of yellow in cotton to stitch the moon. The slightly darker one I used on the outer lines I used a polyester very pale pink for the body parts and a very pale aqua shade in polyester for the nappy area. I drew some little flowers on the nappy and coloured them in with a watercolour pencil. I drew the hair with a silver glitter pen and then used my water colour pencils to colour in the elements. I attached 2 halves of an 8cm doily to the back of the main image sheet using red power tape. I had used a cloud scene print for the main backing sheet cut at 12.25 x 12.5cm, I used a 3cm wide gold satin and organza ribbon to attach to the front of the next backing sheet which is a deeper blue cut at 13.25 x 13.5cm. I then used padded D.S. tape to attach this to the larger cloud print backing sheet cut at 14.25 x 13.75cm. I then wrapped the ribbon around to the back and secured it before attaching this to the main dusty orange card front which measures 15 x 15cm using padded D.S. tape. I used tiny peel off stars on the card front and a peel off strip to hang the slightly larger star. I wrote the sentiment in orange and attached it to the card front. I made the insert by printing a copy of a verse I found, and attached it to a white insert page and added the stars. I made the bow by the rabbit ear method and attached using red power tape.
A delightfully cute card that I am extremely pleased with the outcome and I have many uses planned for this design using different colours for backing sheets and embellishments. Next time I will add a bead to the head, I felt this embellishment style did not need any beads. Pamela Horton
