Pocket Full of Love 2Completed by Margaret Swaby
OccasionI started off by taking 3 sheets of card, one purple one lilac and one cream. I embossed and cut out the bookatrix from the bookatrix board. I then took another purple sheet of card and scored and creased it to make an easel.
I printed off the sheet to A5 size onto photo paper and cut it out. I used narrow ds tape to stick the ready gathered lace edging to the back of the pocket and then stuck the pocket onto the bookatrix with silicone glue , thus ensuring that the edging will not come unstuck.
I built up the decoupage using silicone glue and used the rose to the opposite top corner. I decorated the edges of the book with peel off edging strips and self adhesive gems and stuck a Happy Birthday on the other page.
Behind each of the pages are photographs of my granddaughter taken over the years.
I punched the front corners of the easel and used foam tabs to attach the Granddaughter which also acts as the stopper for the easel.
A very effective card and easy to make with a personal twist.
