Beautiful Blonde Bride with Red Rose Bouquet DecoupageCompleted by Barbara Stubbings
OccasionThis is such a pretty bridal card and presents quite a challenge in the making. Firstly, I printed to half page size as full page made it just a little large for a regular envelope.
The skirt and arms are easily cut with scissors fur the finer cutting definitely needs a craft knife. After cutting, I coloured the cut edges using a brush tip light grey permanent marker. Assembling the skirt, head and torso was easy enough using spongy tape but again the finer pieces needed special care.
To attach the tiara, hair and, if used, the individual flowers, I used silicon adhesive applied using a toothpick. I then 'did a Google' to find a suitable archway as the card looked bare without some embellishment. I then cheated!! Instead of cutting the individual bouquet and flowers, I applies some white craft glue (PVA or ModPodge works) and sprinkled Petal Soft to give the bouquet a 'real look'.
Finally I added some 'real' Petal Soft to the archway and a silver salutation.
