This is a very cute idea for a Valentine card design, and one, I can see, will fulfil many wishes for a Valentine celebration. As this is a design that could be reminiscent of past working days, or of a new start to a career, and maybe it will rejuvenate, rekindle, or even promote something special. I love this design and have enjoyed making this card. I printed it twice onto the same sheet of a 200gsm white card. I used one copy as the main background. I used D.S. tape to attach it to a white backing sheet, the edges of which, I have coloured with a green metallic pen. I used, a 2.5cm wide burgundy coloured satin ribbon, to attach horizontally to the centre front, of a 10cm square, burgundy backing sheet. I attached the main backing sheet to this, using padded D.S. tape. I used a delicate rose print backing sheet, which measures, 11cm square, and padded D.S tape, to attach the rose backing sheet to the burgundy backing sheet, and, before I wrapped the ribbon around to the back, and secured it, I used some gold peel off strips, to attach to the edges of the rose print backing sheet. I used D.S. tape, to then attach this to the white card front, which measures 12.5cm square. I then used the second copy, to cut out some of the elements. I used these as an addition to the rose decoupage that is supplied with the sheet. I cut out the 2 hearts and the main red rose as one complete unit, and attached them with D.S. tape, to the card front. I made a white backing sheet from 200gsm card, cutting it at 8.5cm x 1cm. I then cut out the city skyline from the second copy, and attached the backing sheet, using regular D.S. tape, to the bottom edge only of the skyline image. I then attached this skyline view, using D.S. tape, to match the skyline view in the main image, as a decoupage. I only used one set of the supplied roses from the sheet provided, for the decoupage, and used the step by step method to complete this by using tiny D.S. padded squares, and tiny D.S. padded spots. I made a burgundy bow and attached it at the top of the card. I attached the same style of peel off gold strips onto the front of the exposed edges of the white card front, and added some peel off gold bows with red hearts. I also added these bows to the corners of the main image. For the insert, I used a delicate rose print background sheet, cut to fit the inside of the card, and added some peel offs, that I have coloured with a burgundy pen, and 8 peel off gold bows, and also a photo of the completed card. I am delighted with the result. Thank you, Fran for this lovely design.
