How Sweet a New Home

I matt the main image onto blue mirror board. I used Pinflair glue gel to decoupage the layers so that I could shape them slightly so that birds do not look flat. I rotated the door as I prefer the handle on the right. I added extra fine iredescent glitter to the bow, flowers, leaves and 'New Home' wording and added a pearl bead for the door knob and nails on the 'Home Sweet Home'.
The end result is very pleasing, the colours aren't pastel but they are gentle. I think anyone recently moved would love to receive a card like this. Just be careful when cutting around the knitting needle it snapped off one layer - fortunately it was the bottom layer - I was more careful with the other layers and it doesn't notice .
The sheet was printed on to photo paper. The main image was cut out using a fancy blade, then attached to navy card. White peel off was used for the borders. The layers were added using foam pads and glitter was added to finish.
