Absolutely LOVED making this card as it just SINGS SPRING is here.
I started by copying the sheet on to high quality matte photo paper. cut out all the elements and edged them all with a light gray Tombow marker to give the edges a more finished look and cover up the white cut edge. (this is NOT necessary, just something I like to do to give my cards a more finished look). I chose the "With Love" round element, and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment.
I used a dark green matte to give the base image a pop of color so i could mount it onto a kraft card base. I also used the same dark green matte around the "happy birthday" sentiment. Layered up the beautiful blossoms using 3d foam tape and enhanced the centres with a clear star pen. The butterfly wings are gently rolled and just the body of the butterfly is adhered using Art Glitter Glue and the wings are left loose to give them more dimension. I used a clear star pen on the wings just for interest.
Finally, I used 5 small emerald green/gold peel off circles to add a pop of interest and to blend in with the dark green matte.
