The name Beautiful Roses is a perfect name for these glorious roses that look so realistic, you can almost smell them.
I printed the sheet provided onto CB 200gsm white gloss card and cut out all the elements and made up the easy decoupage in a step by step method.
I made a white backing sheet, to which I gave an aged look, using a Wink of Stella orange brush.
I used this same brush to give an aged look to the edges or the main card, the next 2 backing sheets and the edges of the scallops on the insert sheets.
The white backing sheet, measures 13.5 x 10cm and I attached a 2.5cm wide cream satin ribbon across the front 2.5cm up from the bottom edge using D.S. tape.
I attached this to the completed topper using padded D.S. tape. The next backing sheet is cream, and measures 14 x 11cm, and it is attached using the same padded tape.
The largest backing sheet is a beautiful rose print, which measures 15 x 12cm and is attached using regular D.S. tape to the cream backing sheet.
I then wrapped the ribbon around to the back and secured it with power tape. I was then able to attach it to the deep pink rose coloured gloss card front, which measures 16 x 13cm.
I added pearls to the white backing strip, and one to each corner of the main image and 2 onto the sentiment scroll.
I tied a simple bow using the cream satin ribbon and attached it using power tape. For the insert I used a cream backing sheet cut at 25.5 x 15.5cm. I then cut 3cm wide strips of the rose backing sheet, and using scissors, cut scallops along the inside edges.
I used D.S. tape to attach these in a frame style to the inside of the cream backing sheet and used D.S. tape down each side of the centre line to attach the cream backing sheet to the inside of the card.
I am absolutely delighted with this beautiful card and I can think of so many occasions, and celebrations I will be able to use it.
I will need to keep a list in case I send the same card twice.
Thank you, Terri and I send you a very big hug for this beautiful design. Pamela Horton
