The Classic LadyCompleted by Taina Kankare
OccasionI printed the sheet twice. I cut the topper out and attached it on a blue base card leaving no borders. Then I cut the lady from the other sheet out. I attached it on the topper with 0,5 mm foam pads. After this I cut the decoupage parts out.
First I assembled the parchment scroll. I cut the thicker parts out from the scroll "tails" leaving some extra paper in the side, which was going to be under the actual scroll part. I attached those two parts with 0,5 mm foam pads on top of the one in the topper. Then I chose the scroll text I wanted to use. I attached 0,5 mm foam pads at the edges, 1,0 mm foam pads next and 1,5 mm foam pads in the middle. This way the scroll looks like a bit "curved". I attached the scroll part in its place. Then I attached the small roses with leaves with 0,5 mm foam pads and the roses without leaves with 1,5 mm foam pads. Now it looks like as if the roses are on top of the scroll and not under, as in the original topper.
Then I started to assemble the lady. I attached the first layer with 0,5 mm foam pads except the breast part. There I added 1,5 mm foam pads in the middle and nothing in the neck- and wristline. When I had attached the cutout in its place, I added a thin layer of glue under the neck- and waistlines with a thick needle. Then I pressed the parts down. This way I got the breastline look natural. After this I attached all the other parts with 0,5 mm foam pads.
