Shoe 3 Step-by-step

This delightfully ornate and very feminine shoe sheet offered for purchase as a step by step decoupage deign by Mary Jane Harris was the perfect choice for the embellishment for the card I have made using, Ed040 Border ,cup281062, a stitching design by Emy van Schaik, for a friend who usually has a focus on fancy shoe purchasing, which is on hold at the moment.

I completed the stitching and beading for the card and attached the backing sheet and topper to the 15cm square card front.

I cut out all the elements for the shoe and removed the white section keeping the very fine line which is the top edge of the shoe, using very fine tiny white scissors and a sharp craft knife.

I then lay the elements out and turned them over keeping them in the step by step order and attached the small padded D.S. tape and squares.

I then assembled the shoe using a glue tape runner along the fine line of the tope edge of the shoe.

I attached this to the centre of the card front before attaching the ornaments to the shoe, again using tiny padded D.S. dots.

I also used the 4 extra gems to the 4 corners of the card. This has given a strong focus for the most elegant shoe as the main embellishment.

I have completed the insert using a pink backing sheet, a small image of the card front and a verse I have chosen from the free verse section.

I have used a small image of the finished card and some black backed peel off feminine accessories to add as embellishments.

I also added the happy birthday sentiment and some glitter spots to the front topper. I was able to hand deliver this today to my cousin and was well repaid with the most delightful response.
