Christmas BlessingCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionThis beautiful and yet simple image of the nativity design by Gitte Kristiansen has to be the most poignant and easiest religious Christmas card I have ever made.
I have many ,many uses for this card, and the first thing I am going to do is repeat this card 7 more times and bundle them together for my Kris Kringle gift for the Church Craft day group I meet with every second Tuesday of the year.
I absolutely love this card. I printed it onto CB white card and cut out the 2 elements supplied. I attached the royal blue ribbon across the front of the main image level with the main star.
I used padded D.S. tape to attach the 2 images together, and defined the edges of the main image with a bronze metallic pen, and then printed a pale blue check design onto both sides of the main card which measures 18.5 x 12.5cm.
I scored and folded this in half and attached the images using D.S. Tape. I used a gold glitter glue pen to high light the nativity scene, the stars and the border. I used peel off stars of varying sizes. I tied a bow and attached it using power tape.
I printed the sheet provided onto light weight copy paper and cut out the nativity scene and the Star of Bethlehem and attached these on the lower section of the insert.
I used a beautiful religious verse from the free verse list, written by Janyce Cotterill, and attached it to the top half of the insert.
I added some peel off stars, and used the gold glue stick to add some sparkle to the verse.
I am sending a huge hug to you Gitte for offering this wonderful design depicting the true meaning of the First Christmas Day.
