Vintage Lace Holly Candle A5 Card Front Step by StepCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionThis delightfully imaginative and very different design for this Christmas greeting card, a design by Ann-Marie Vaux was a must purchase for me when it became available as I really enjoy the point of difference and using my tools and time to spend working with decoupage and the step by step method of card making.
I printed the sheet provided twice and used the first copy as the main backing sheet for the15x11.5cm white card front.
I made a white14x10cm backing sheet and a black 11x14.75cm backing sheet to attach to the main image and onto the card front using D.S. tape.
I added the red peel off strip and used the red permanent pen to define all 4 edges and attached the red bow before attaching the decoupage.
I have used the second image to cut out the central gold rimmed frame and attach it to the black backing sheet and onto the left- hand side of the white insert.
The outside remaining holly and lace I have trimmed so that the verse I have chosen from the free Christmas verse section appears to sit inside this frame.
I was then able to cut out all the small holly leaves and berries, the step by step candle section and use padded D.S. tiny squares to attach all these pieces.
A very easy and delightful step by step project to complete, with very pleasing results. Pamela Horton.
