I decided to make an Easel card with this design. I started with a piece of cream card (120g) to 20.8cm x 15.7cm and then folded in half. On the front of the card, I scored a line down the middle at 5.2cm from the edge and gently made a mountain fold.

I then cut the background of the Underwater Party picture and mounted this on the some 200g card to give support. I then added some extra tacky tape to the one half of the front of the card closet to the opening edge and attached the Underwater Party background to it. You are then able to slide the front of the card up so that the card forms an appex and the picture then stands up.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of cardstock (200g) at 15.7cm x4cm to stick along the opening edge. You need to use the heavy card so that a lip is formed to rest the card when you stand it up. I then added the sentiment and I also had a couple of crab diecuts I added as extra support to hold the card up incase it comes of the edge of the lip.

On the front of the card, I decoupaged all the fish. I cut a whole fish and then from the second fish on the pattern sheet, I cut just the eyes and fins to give more dimension. When I decoupage, I like to use silicone as I bend and shape the pieces to give more life and the silicone holds the shape. I find Foam dots are best for flat surfaces.
