If you like humorous cards, and the step by step card making method, this is one choice you definitely have to make. It is so cute as well. I copied the sheet onto gloss card and cut out all the elements. I made up the topper by adding all the elements step by step, using tiny padded double sided squares. Some I had to cut in half to cover Stella's skinny legs and upper arms. Once I had completed the topper, I attached 2 short lengths of the very pale mauve, heart dotted ribbon, to the top and bottom edges of the topper where the topper ribbon would continue. To do this I just added some double sided tape onto the underside of the topper to position it and left it loose until U had completed the backing sheets. I used 3 backing sheets, the first is a patterned sheet in the shades from the card,13.25cm x 10cm, Then a very deep, purple 13.5 x 10.5cm. and the largest a very bright red.11 x14cm.
I then attached them together with double sided tape, and lastly placed the topper on top with double sided tape.
The ribbon ,I folded over to the back of the largest backing sheet.
I used double sided tape to matt the completed topper with the backing sheets onto the white card, which I had cut at 23x 11.5cm and folded. I edged the card with a deep plum permanent pen to finish it off. It really is a fun card and an excellent size to post, as it regulation stamp size. I also used the insert from the same designer, Carol Smith.
Thank you Carol, I have had a hoot making this card as I have the recipient in mind and I can imagine the smile on her face.
A big Hug and many thanks.
