J.J has cocktails for her birthday Completed by Julie

I downloaded and printed it twice onto white card. I then scored in half pink card to use as my base. I then stuck on the first large base layer using double sided sticky tape. Then I cut out the original and additional items and layered these on top using double sided self adhesive sponge squares. In addition I placed a 2mm silver gem onto the bracelet and a 3mm silver gem onto the printed caption. I also added some white glitter to the drink in the two glasses and onto the tiny amount that is spilt. Then using black self adhesive letters which I placed vertically down the side of the card to read Happy Birthday. And finally to finish off the front of the card I added a miniature self adhesive cocktail glass. For the inside I downloaded the insert that went with the card. Then printed this off and cut to size ready to place on the inside of the pink card. I then copied the verse - Birthday- slightly tweaking the ending

Only a perfect birthday will do

For a Auntie

Whos as lovely as you

So here is a wish

For a super day

Hope its the happiest

To come through your way

After printing this off I placed an oval die cut over the verse and fed it through my machine. This was now ready for me to place the verse on the insert. Because there are flowers to the edge of the pre-printed oval insert, I used my craft knife to carefully cut around the leaves and petals so I could slightly lift the paper to lay the verse inside the oval insert. Take a closer look to see the effect. I was pleased with my solution. I hope you have fun making this card too :-)
