Butterflies and flowers are always an excellent standby for a greeting card topper with universal use. I like to keep one in a similar style on hand for any occasion which I have not had time to plan for.
I have printed the sheet provided twice and used the larger 12.5cm square image as the main topper. I have defied the edges of the 2mm white outline with an aqua permanent pen an attached this to the 13.5cm square backing sheet using D.S. tape.
I have attached the aqua ribbon horizontally across the back of the orang backing sheet 5cm up from the bottom edge.
I have then attached this section of the topper onto the 14cm square black backing sheet. I have used padded D.S. tape to attach this topper onto the ivory 15cm card front. I have defined the 4 edges using the same aqua permanent pen.
I cut out the elements to complete the decoupage using the step by step method and attached them using suitable sized padded D.S. squares and spots.
I have used a bright yellow insert and used the 10cm square image, which has the edges defined the same as the front image using the aqua pen, to attach onto the left-hand side.
I have added the aqua ribbon and the universal sentiment which was supplied.
I have left the verse blank as this card has no destination as yet. Thank you to Karen Adair for this beautiful and most useful design. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
