Victoriana Ladies 35
On of the last ones in this serie, this tiome with lilac roses. If you want to suie the frame only, cut out the middle and put you own picture behind. Would be great for scrapcards etc too.

I have used the purple tones from the original design of this Victorian Lady, supplied by Astrid Spijkers, to use as the backing sheets and embellishments to complete this card.
I printed the sheet onto light card and cut out the main image, and keeping the overhanging roses intact.
All of the backing sheets and all the main white card edges are defined with a purple pen to help give depth and dimension to the decoupage.
I made a white backing sheet cut at 13.5 x 9.5cm and attached the main image using D.S. tape and leaving a narrow 3mm margin on the left hand side and the top edge.
I attached the purple satin ribbon vertically at the back of the white backing sheet 0.5cm in from the right hand edge.
I cut a mauve backing sheet at 14.5 x 10.5cm and attached it using D.S. tape. I then used a fine sewing needle point to pierce all corners of the white backing sheet, and pushed through the 4purple heart shaped split pins.
I repeated this process to add the pearl button split pin to the hat. The pale mauve spring floral print backing sheet is cut at 15.5 x 11.5cm and is attached with D.S. tape.
I used padded D.S. tape to the back of this backing to attach it to the white card front, which measures 16.5 x 12.5cm.
I cut out all the smaller rose elements and using the step by step method and tiny padded D.S. squares attached them carefully in place.
I made a simple rabbit ears bow, and attached it using red power tape.
I used a copy of cup814313_79993, Christmas lace effect, designed by Clare Walker, to alter the hues into a pale mauve, and print larger than full original size, to then use as the insert and printed a copy of the smaller elements to use as an embellishment on the left hand side of the insert.
I have left the right hand side blank at this stage, until I write the personal greeting and verse. This design is very versatile and I will be able to use it for many occasions including Mother’s day, Birthday, Valentines’ day, even hello and thinking of you.
I love the dynamic image it portrays and the colour purple is often a female favourite, I will use this many times.
I am sending you a hug Astrid, with many thanks. Pamela Horton. The whispering Platypus.
