Snow Scene in Black and WhiteCompleted by Peggy Stogdill
OccasionPrinted on matte photo paper. I covered the front of a white card with a snowflake background by Debra Laraway (cup369051_1571), after first antiquing the edges a bit with walnut ink.
Before I stuck it down with DST, I "aged" some butcher's twine with a bit of ink, then wrapped a piece twice around the top of the background and taped it in place on the back.
I made the sentiment in my publishing program with a pale gray background, then distressed and antiqued it's edges as well (also ink-distressed the edges of the base image).
I added the pyramage with silicone, then glittered the roof and some areas of the snow with crystal glitter.
I used DST across the bottom of the base image, but hung it at the top from the twine with a metal hanger.
Glued the sentiment in place, then added two gold glittered chipboard snowflakes and two more punched from a second copy of the base image that I'd printed, but hadn't used.
Finished with more twine wrapped around the spine.
Such a lovely vintage image, and I can think of a zillion more ways to use it :-)
