I printed the sheet and cut out all of the layers, leaving a small white border around the base image.

I mounted the base onto dark blue card which was 5mm larger in both directions.

I cut another piece of blue card to the exact size as the blue base mat. I cut a piece of white card 5mm smaller than the blue, and a piece of blue 5mm smaller that the white.

I stuck all of the mats together, giving the same effect as the base of the pyramid.

I took a 15cm x 15cm card blank and stuck the mats a quarter of a turn apart, as shown.
