Maisie the Gnome Slider CardCompleted by Margaret McCartney
OccasionI printed the design onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and cut it out. I scored and folded a 5 x 7 scalloped edge card landscape. I cut out the channel where indicated. I attached thick foam tape to the top and bottom of the back of the design.
This will allow room for the penny, with a piece of foam attached, to move freely across the design. I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape. I added the girl to one of the penny’s with foam tape and made sure only the foam was visible through the channel cut out earlier.
I also added the round greeting to the other penny using a piece of thin foam tape that was visible through the channel.
I placed the strip from the design on the card so that it was visible through the channel. Then attached the design to the front of the card to complete. I added the greeting using thin foam tape.
Gorgeous card when completed and fun for any child to move the girl and the greeting backwards and forwards. Since I used pennies to facilitate the movement this card will not be suitable for a younger child who may put the penny into their mouth although it is secure behind the design and the thin foam tape that holds the design to the card but better to be careful.
It will fit into a 5 x 7 envelope for posting (supplied).
