Nurse with New Baby CongratulationsCompleted by Karen Faulds

I was asked to make a birthday card for a midwife and this was an ideal image. I covered an A5 portrait card with pink paper and layered with another paper from the same palette . I cut an oval scalloped mat from a third patterned paper and matted this onto a slightly bigger oval cut from the pink paper used for the base layer. Using my Serif software, I made a circular sentiment and coloured with the same green as the nurse's scrubs (using the colour picker tool). This was layered onto a slightly bigger pink circle.

I cut out all the layers from the sheet and stuck the one with the new baby wording directly onto the oval mat and then layered up using silicon gel.

very pretty card with all the colours and for a new baby (as the sheet was originally intended) you could use pink or blue as required.
