Oh Happy Day! A very happy scene to bring a smile to the recipient of this card. Thank You Clare, another beautiful pen and watercolour sunny design.

I stayed with the colour theme that is offered in this art work, which is mainly the orange and green.

I printed the sheet twice, and made several backing sheets to give the scene dimensional effect I wanted to achieve. I began by making the main card first, 26x 13cm, folded. It is tiny white design on an ivory background. I edged the front with an orange pen. I next made the topper, starting with the largest backing sheet. This is an apple green, 12 x 12cm, the next is an orange 11.5 x 11.5cm which I attached using padded tape. I attached the main element onto this with regular tape. I measured up from the lower edge of the orange backing sheet 2cm and using double sided tape attached the orange 6mm organza ribbon to the front of this topper, and wrapped it around to the back of the green backing sheet and secured it. The next length of the same ribbon, I attached vertically, 1cm in from the left edge of the green backing sheet, and also attached it at the back. I made the bow with a third length of the same ribbon. I then used double sided tape to attach this completed topper to the card front.

This makes a very easy to make beautiful card.

I like to follow the step by step decoupage which is most often offered with Clare's designs.

As I had made two copies, I used the second copy, to, cut away the speckled frame, and attach this central part of the art to another backing sheet , the same size 7.5cm square and then attach it to the card front, with padded tape.

I decided to make a third copy and cut away the two tiny frames, the one which is a shade of grey, and the mustard coloured frame.

I then mounted the remaining central focal point, onto a mustard backing sheet, which is a tiny 1mm larger, on all 4 sides. This I then attached to the card front using padded tape.

All that remained was to cut out all the elements I wanted to use, and as I had plenty of those, I also cut out the 3 individual sun flowers and fringed the edges, and used padded double sided tape to attach them all. This certainly gave the dimension for the decoupage and was well worth the effort.

I used the left over pieces of the elements to add to the insert. I also found a picture in my stash of a lady bird.

Clare, I hope you like what I have done. I am so pleased with the result.

A Big Hug
