Christmas/birthday Bouquet Scallop Envelope Card FrontCompleted by Lesley Williams

I love this design and have made several versions of the card. For the one shown here, I printed the sheet onto good quality decoupage paper. I cut out the main image. When I cut out the scalloped overlay, I left a tab strip of paper along the long edge.

I scored along the line and put a strip of super sticky double sided tape along the back (blank) side of the tab.

I then carefully inserted the left edge of the main image into the crease so that the scalloped front lay over the main image and then wrapped the tab round the back to stick (a bit like fixing an insert sheet.

I then mounted the whole image onto toning red card and cut, leaving a narrow border. I added a length of matching ribbon to the right of the image and tucked the ends under, securing with a tab of tape on the wrong side.

The whole topper was then attached to the card front.

I added a fine silver peel off broder to the scalloped edge on the main image. I added my own sentiment to a blank sentiment panel, stuck it onto red card and cut out. I then added a fine silver peel off border to highlight the frame, and attached to the card front with foam pads.

Finally, I added a ribbon bow.

I used the remaining floral decoupage layer on the insert inside the card.
