I'd had Vicky's Tartan Christmas Cards on my wishlist for quite some time!

I printed the design not onto my usual go-to glossy photo paper, but onto white linen structure paper, as I wanted the framed landscape to look a if it was a canvas. I knew the colours wouldn't pop out as they do with the glossy photo paper, but I thought that'd be okay with the general mood of the design.

I mounted the main panel onto a craft card stock card base without rasing it.

While I wanted that matte finish on the main design, I was looking for a way to make the 3D elements stand out.

So after cutting those out, I embossed them with clear embossing powder. I did not want a sentiment on the outside of the card, so I left that out. I attached all the embossed elements using 1mm foam squares.

I drew lines around the inner frame with a gold pen. I think it really makes the winterscape canvas stand out.
