This beautiful White Christmas with the golden Reindeer is an absolutely stunning design for a card front. I have made it twice. The third photograph shows the card as I made it, originally as a quick card, and the main photograph, shows the card made as a decoupage. The method is exactly the same, except for the main photograph. For the card with the insert and decoupage, I actually printed the sheet 3 times. To make the quick and easy card front, I used 200gsm white matte card to copy the sheet supplied, and coloured the edges with a metallic gold pen. I made a black backing sheet, 13cm square, and coloured the edges with the same pen. I then made another backing sheet, with a stars and berries snow scene, which measures 14cm square, and coloured the edges with the same pen. I attached a 1.5cm gold satin ribbon, to the front of the black backing sheet, and then attached this backing sheet to the snow scene backing sheet, using padded D.S. tape. I wrapped the ribbon around to the back, and used power tape to secure it the largest backing sheet. I made a 30 x 15cm white card, and before I scored and folded it, I used the same gold pen to colour all the edges. I then attached the backing sheets using regular D.S. tape. I used padded tape to attach the topper to the card front, and made a simple bow, which I attached using power tape, then attached the sentiment with padded tape.
For the decoupage, the second time I printed the sheet supplied, I used 200gsm gloss white card. I then cut out the main element, excluding the decorative edge for the mirror, and the white feathers. I used the same metallic gold pen to colour the mirror edges and the sentiment and then used padded D.S. squares to attach this to the card front.
For the insert, I made a matte black sheet to fit, 14.75 x 29.75cm and used the wider nib of the metallic gold pen, to colour the edges. I printed the sheet provided, onto gloss card and cut out the main element, and used this on the left hand side of the insert. For the right hand side I used a glitter gold and silver peel off sentiment. I have left enough space, to use a gold pen to write my Christmas greeting.
Thank you, Anne, for this delightful card topper, I have achieved good value from one purchase.
