This is a beautifully wrapped Christmas gift, with a bell, bow, Holly, ferns, and a 4 way silver ribbon. I was so impressed with the outcome of the quick topper, that I decided to make the design a second time, and this time to make it more 3 dimensional. I printed the sheet twice, and used one copy as the main background sheet. I mounted it onto a white card, which measures, 12.5cm square, and coloured the edges of this white card, with a green permanent pen. I then added a gold peel off strip to the topper edges. I made 2 backing sheets. The largest is a snowy Christmas scene, with berries, and stars, and it measures, 14.5cm square. The next backing sheet is a deep sky blue, and it measures, 13.5cm square. I attached these 2 backing sheets together, with padded tape, and then used a 2cm wide, red satin ribbon to wrap across the front of the blue backing sheet and around to the back of the snow scene backing sheet, and then securing it, with D.S tape. I made a white card, which measures 30cm x 15cm. I scored and folded it, and attached the backing sheets with padded D.S. tape, and then the topper on the top of this, with padded D.S. tape. I made a simple red satin bow and attached it with power tape to the left hand corner and the sentiment to the bottom right hand corner. This completed the first card I had made. To make the second card, I used the second copy, for which I used 200gsm Gloss white card, and I cut out the very central decorative bell ornament. I didn’t use the very edges of the ferns, as having the edges in the background, gave the card the appearance of much more dimension. I attached this to the card front with padded D.S. tiny squares.
This is an absolutely delightful design, by Anne Leaver, available to purchase, just in time for me to complete the last of my many Christmas cards. Thank you Anne, I am sending you a hug, and when I finish the White Christmas Golden Reindeer card, my Christmas list will then be completed.
