PINK CARNATIONS:QUICK CARD FRONT, 7x7, For Mothers Day, Birthdays & Female Occasions, With Easy Decoupage and 9 Sentiment Tags
These watercolour carnations are perfect for Mother's Day and that is the message on the front by default. But thanks to 9 sentiment tags, it's great for other female occasions. too.
The card front is designed so that you can simply attach it to a card base and send as a quick card, or cut out the easy decoupage flowers to add an extra layer if you wish.
A matching insert sheet is also available ( cup860884_79993)
Best of all, this item, like all my designs, comes with small scale commercial use. So you're free to sell anything you physically hand-make using this sheet, whether on CUP or anywhere else.

This Pink Carnations Quick card front design by Clare walker is a delightful hand painted water colour, in bright pinks and green.
I printed it twice onto 200gsm CB white matte photo copy card, and used the main image from the first copy as the main backing sheet.
I mounted this using padded D.S. tape onto an all over floral print, which measures 12.25cm square. I then used the same tape to mount this onto the vivid green backing sheet which measures 13cm square.
I didn’t have a matching pink glitter card so I used white card, 13.5 cm square, and coloured the outside edges with a pink glitter glue pen and allowed it to completely dry before attaching it to the back of the green backing sheet with regular D.S. tape.
The main card is the same floral all over print, as the first backing sheet, and is printed on both sides, then scored and folded so that the front measures 14cm square.
I used the second copy of the main image to cut away the darker pink border, but including the tiny overhanging flowers.
I wrapped the green organza 2.5 cm wide ribbon horizontally around this card topper so that it covered the centre part of the spray of carnations.
I secured it at the back with D.S. tape.
I used the same ribbon to thread through the left hand side of the ribbon and tie a simple bow just tight enough so that it squeezed the horizontal ribbon on the left side only.
I used the smaller element of the spray of carnations to cut out and attach the upper section using tiny padded D.S. dots, and the base of the spray using white glue.
I used padded D.S. tape to attach this to the card front.
I used the discarded pink floral frame from the second copy to cut out the tiny flowers in roughly shaped squares and used liquid glue to attach these around the edge of the finished card front.
I also added some pink glitter peel off hearts to attach to the edges of the card front.
To make the insert I used a copy of the matching insert to attach to the left hand side of the inside of the card, and made an 8cm circle template and traced around it over the verse, supplied with cup860884_79993, and cut this out.
Before attaching it to the right hand side, I used my bright green chisel shaped marker to colour the tip of my left hand pointer finger and stamped and rubbed this over the white circle.
I attached a larger sized pink glitter heart.
I have left the insert blank for my personal message. This is a beautiful card design and is very easy and quick to make, and the matching insert completes the soft floral ambience of the finished card.
Clare has supplied so many sentiments, that it is so easy to see the versatility of this greeting card design.
Thank you Clare, I really like this design and will use it many more times. Pamela Horton
