Harvest DreamCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This beautiful card front is called Harvest Dream and the floral arrangement is so realistic, it is actually like a harvest of fresh plants and flowers.

I love the purple hues and made good use of this choice of the main flower and frames designed by Gail.

I printed the sheet supplied by Gail twice, and used the first copy as the main backing sheet. I attached a 2.5cm wide mauve organza ribbon across the back of this main backing sheet, 2.5cm up from the bottom edge, and mounted this onto a black textured card which measures 12.5 cm square using D.S tape.

I then used silver glitter peel off strips to attach to the black backing sheet, so that it would appear to make another frame.

I used a white backing sheet which I cut at 13.5cm square, and attached it using D.S. tape, and used purple, silver glitter narrow peel off strips to attach to this white backing sheet, to also appear as if it formed another frame.

I then used power tape to attach the organza ribbon around to the back of the white backing sheet. The main card is a purple, core card with a white backing, and I used a purple pen to ink the edges to hide the white core, before scoring and folding it.

This card front measures, 14cm square.

I used the second copy of the sheet provided to cut away the outside purple frame to use as part of the insert and set it aside.

I then cut out the main theme, keeping the frame and the overhanging plants and butterfly intact. I used padded D.S tape to attach this to the card front.

I tied the onestep bow with the organza ribbon and attached it with some power tape to the left hand side of the card front.

I used the largest of the butterflies to attach using tiny padded dots. I was then able to attach the reserved purple frame on the right hand side of the insert, using tiny spots of white glue, and attach a butterfly to the right hand lower corner.

For the left hand side, I cut an 11.5 cm square of textured purple foiled paper and attached 3 butterflies using spots of white glue.

This has made a stunning card that I am absolutely delighted with, so thank you, Gail. Pamela Horton.
