Sunflower Card Front & DecoupageCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This is another beautiful card design by Russ Smith, which brings us a wisp of breath of fresh air, just by looking at this bright sun flower, which is obviously growing freely amongst some grasses.

A field of sun flowers, all following the sun rays with their bright open faces, is a sight to behold.

I love this bright image and know it meets so many celebrations and occasions as a greeting card.

I cut out the main image and attached it using D.S. tape to a white background sheet which I had cut at 13 x 9.5 cm and then used an orange permanent pen and ruler to define the outside edges of the main images.

I used gold peel off strips to add to the inner frame section before attaching the apricot ribbon to the lower horizontal third of the main image.

I then used the same tape to attach it to the main card which is a background print by Clare Walker, cup878154_79993 apple blossom.

I then used the same gold peel offs to attach to the main card front edges. I cut out all the small elements and using thin D.S. padded tape and using the step by step method, carefully completed the decoupage.

I tied a simple bow and attached it using white glue. I had printed the apple blossom background on the inside of the card, and attached a small photographic image of the completed card on the left hand side with the sentiment and a verse from the free verse selection onto the right hand side of the insert section.

This is a very universal card that will serve almost any greeting card celebration or occasion. Thank you, for this delightful design which has the added advantage of being so quick and easy to make, I am sending you a virtual hug.
