Especially for You FansCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionI have had fun using all the elements provided with this sheet by Pauline Black, and hopefully given this greeting card a Spring-time feeling to the outcome.
I printed the sheet twice as I wanted to be able to use the whole image as the main backing sheet and use the extra sheet to enhance the already very generous decoupage elements provided.
I have used a white scalloped 21x15cm card from a Crafty Bob merchandise purchase to define the edges of the card front using silver glitter glue, and then set this aside to dry.
I have also defined the 13.x 9.25cm teal backing sheet, the 13.5x 9.75cm orange backing sheet and the 12.5 x 8.75cm main image backing sheet using a silver metallic pen.
I have matted these backing sheets together using D.S. tape. I made a black backing sheet cut at 14 x 10cm and round cut the corners before attaching this to the back using D.S. tape.
The wide silver ribbon is attached across the front 1.5cm down from the top edge and 3 cm up from the bottom edge and is not secured at the front, only at the back of the black backing sheet.
I then used 40cm of the same ribbon to attach vertically at the top and lower edge of the black backing sheet, then threaded it under the 2 horizontal ribbons and tied a simple double knot securing the tails behind and at the back using red power tape.
I attached this topper onto the card front using padded D.S. tape. This then formed the card front ready for the step by step decoupage. Using the second image I cut off the sentiment and mounted it onto the teal backing sheet. I used the glitter glue pen to embellish the front before attaching it to the card front.
The main image now has a black outline and the overhanging flowers, which I have embellished with the glitter glue pen and a fine brush.
I have used padded D.S. tape to attach this to the card front and cut out all the copies of the small rose elements from this sheet and attached them using D.S. padded tape, and added silver glitter.
I have used one copy of the tiny fan to carefully cut out the tiny folds between to add dimension and attached it using tiny D.S. padded squares to one of the other tiny fans.
I have added a silver jump ring and some teal cotton. The extra fan I have cut off and used just the lace section as the decoupage.
I have used the vault freebie from last week the number 2 teal coloured, Lush Card Fronts, cup322770_1121 as the insert, and used my black ink pen to draw a vase and added the spare roses and a fan in decoupage as embellishments with a spare fan.
I have written the verse and added it to my free verse list. I am so happy with the outcome, so Pauline, I hope you like what I have done with your original design.
