Santas Chritmas Story Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

If you want to make a quick Christmas greeting card with universal appeal, this delightful Christmas scene is the perfect answer.

I have chosen to use all the elements provided and to use the sheet provided by Ceredwyn, to copy twice onto the same A4 white 120gsm card, and use one copy of the main image as the main backing sheet, and the second copy to carefully cut away the outside frame to reserve for later use as part of the insert.

The main white card measures 30x15cm and is scored and folded before attaching the gold decorative peel off strips along the front edges.

I made 2 backing sheets.

The 14cm square white backing sheet, with the edges defined using a green metallic marker, the 13.75x13.25cm red backing sheet and the main image I have attached together with D.S. tape.

I have then used the green ribbon and the fine gold twisted string together to attach across the front of this group of backing sheets, 2cm down from the top edge, horizontally and secured the loose tails at the back of the white backing sheet.

I then attached this topper to the card front using D.S. tape. Then using the second image, I carefully cut away the frame from the central main image, leaving intact the fir tree leaves and the straight edge so that the spotty frame is still visible on the left hand side.

I attached this to the card front using padded D.S. tape and used one of the small images, which included the tiny snowman and attached this with padded D.S. tape.

I used a blank sentiment tag to punch a tiny hole and used the gold string to attach it with red power tape, under the green ribbon and gold string bow I have made.

I added the gold sentiment to the blank tag.

To complete the insert, I have used the frame from the second image I had reserved to attach over the top of the printed verse, and used D.S. tape to attach this to the right hand side of the inside of the card.

I have used the corner stripe, Which was left over from trimming the frame, to white glue onto the top left hand side of the inside of the card.

I have added some gold and green peel off ornaments as bling.

I am very happy with this beautiful card, and will use this quick and easy card design many more times.
