Oval Scene with Poinsettias 2 Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This beautiful Christmassy Oval scene on a lace background makes a perfect card topper for a Christmas greeting card.

I printed the sheet provided twice as I wanted to use one main image as the main background and use the second image with the village church in the oval village scene being the focus.

I used a 13.5 x 12.5 blue backing sheet attaching it with D.S. tape, behind the main lace framed image and rounded the corners to keep the soft image.

I attached this to a white 14.5 x 12.5 backing sheet using padded D.S. tape.

I rounded the corners before defining the edges using a red permanent pen. The main card is a slightly different shade of blue, and also with the 2 outer corners rounded before I attached the backing sheets using regular D.S. tape.

I cut away the lace and the blue dot frames keeping intact the holly, berries, leaves and poinsettias.

Before I attached this to the card front, I wrapped the ribbon and double lace across the front of the main image and secured it at the back of white backing sheet.

I then used padded tape and small squares to attach the main image to the card front. This completed topper was then attached to the card front using D.S.tape. I have used silver peel off strips and decals as embellishments.

The insert is a snow flake backing sheet from the new Christmas bonus offer, to which I added the baubles from the original sheet.
