This delightful image of a very jolly Santa placing a wreath around Rudolf’s neck has such universal appeal for all ages.
I have printed the sheet provided twice onto the same A4 white 120gsm sheet and used one of the main images as the main background.
The second copy I have used to cut out some of the detailed elements and reserve the frame for part of the insert.
I have then used both the smaller images to make into gift cards. The main ivory card measures 30x15.5cm, and is scored and folded before I have attached the largest 14.5 x 14cm, blue Swirl Backgrounds, cup420483_1121, a design offered on the free vault by Cassandra Ridgeway, using D.S. tape.
The 13.5 x 13cm red backing sheet and the main image are then both attached using D.S. tape. I have then attached the patterned the fine line silver peel-off strips.
I used the second copy to carefully cut away the frame, and I used the rest of the main image to cut out the Santa and the reindeer and attach this image to the card front using padded tiny squares and some thickened white glue for the fine legs, the shoes and the top of the hat.
I attached the silver glitter edged bow before completing the insert. I used the same blue swirl background to cut to size and attached the 2 pieces onto the insert.
I trimmed the frame to show equal images on both sides and attached it using D.S. tape over the top of the sheet with the verse printed.
I attached a piece of holly and some silver glitter peel off embellishments, including a silver frame around the blue frame.
I have used the 2 smaller images to make 2 small gift cards.
The blue backed gift card measures 15x6cm and is scored and folded and has a gold string attached to the card front.
The red gift card measures 13.5 x 6.25cm. I have made envelopes for the main card and both of these gift cards. I have finished the card front by using glitter glue to high light the white trim on Santa’s outfit.
I have been able to make use of all the elements and the design is so quick and easy to make 2 full size cards, by omitting the decoupage step, and using one A4 Sheet to make the 2 copies.
Thank you, Ceredwyn, I love this jolly Santa. Pamela Horton The Whispering Platypus
