This traditional Santa Image is always a favourite as a greeting card For Christmas, and I have made this quick easy design to back with light weight white card printed on both sides using the Holly Background design by Eliza Brown, cup735376_16808.
I used the sheet provided to print twice on to the one A4 page and used the main full image as the main backing sheet to attach using D.S. tape to the card front and I used the second image to cut away and reserve the outer delicate holly and lace looking frame and attach the central main image to the front of the card using padded D.S tape.
I cut out one set of the smaller elements to then use and attach using padded D.S. squares to the card front as embellishments.
I have then used the reserved outer frame as the feature on the left hand side of the insert, by rotating it so that the sentiment is at the bottom of the page.
I have added the white poinsettia to the right hand side and left this side blank for my personal greeting and message.
My finished card measures 27x14cm when opened and easily fits into an envelope measuring 5 ½” x 5 ½”, which will need the sheet cut at 9”x9”.
Postage is expensive in Australia, so I have made this card to comply with standard size and weight conditions. Thank you Nick Bowley, I do love traditional designs to send to dear friends and family. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
