2 Santa Dangler Card FrontsCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Occasion
Christmas / Christmas Santa

I am fascinated with the easy construction of these 2 cards. I made them in 2 sizes. The A5 ( 21x 14.5 front) and then a (12 x 17 cm) smaller version for easier and cheaper posting. The larger one obviously shows more of the detail when photographed.

I Cut out the main print off twice Once in premium gloss craft photo paper and once in Matt card.

I mounted the whole sheet onto a backing sheet of star paper. I used the same backing sheet for the insert.

I cut out the area marked "cut out"leaving the oval aperture piece aside to attach to the front of the card later.

I trimmed the unwanted area away from santa and his tree and blue sky and attached a 7cm length of 0.5cm ribbon to the top down 2 cm at the back, leaving 5 cm loose. I then cut out the santa printed on the matt card and attached it to the back (hiding the ribbon)

I then attached the topper with the oval aperture onto the card- LEAVING the top edge open to later attach the dangle. ( I used D.S Tape on the top edge and left a length hanging over so that I could peel it off when the dangle was already firmly attached) NOTE- It is best to use a glue pen or the tape runner around the open area of the aperture to ensure a good clean finish, But wait until this is dry before cutting out the oval shape to match the front.

If you like you can also use the rest of the left over matt topper as a backing for the inside of the front page. I did and it looks great. Stand the card up and centre the dangle before glueing or taping it in place at the top. Each Card dangle hangs at the same distance down from the open oval. You must leave enough space top and bottom for it to swing easily.

So clever and ssoo easy

I finished off with silver star and snow flake peel offs and used glossy accents on the sky, tree decorations and topper. I added a silver Merry Christmas peel Off. and then Crystal Elements to the santa suit, beard, hat, boot tops, and cuffs.. What a cheery card!

Thank you for the 2 designs, such good value. 2 for the price of 1 Pamela Horton Wellington Point QLD
