Deer in the Snow

This design depicting deer in the snow is a magical scene not seen here in Australia, and has memories for many of us down south.

The design itself makes a very quick 2 step card, with simple cutting, and then pasting onto a card front.

I have made 2 copies of the sheet provided to use one as the main backing sheet, which I have mounted using D.S. tape onto a 13.5cm square silver backing sheet.

I then used the silver satin and organza ribbon to adhere across the front of the main image and secure at the back of the silver backing sheet.

I used the second copy to cut away the red larger frame, keeping the overhanging poinsettias and retaining the narrower white border, I cut a piece of snow flake embossed acetate at 9.5 x 10cm and used vellum magic tape to adhere the acetate to the image before attaching it using red power tape to the topper.

The main card is ivory and the card front measures 14cm square and before attaching the completed topper, I have used a silver metallic pen to define all 4 sides, and all the insert section of the ivory card.

I printed 2 copies of the Majestic Stag, cup 830204, another design by Ceredwyn Mcrae, a very useful insert design which I often use to complete a Christmas card.

I made the bow from the same ribbon and then used the smaller sized main images to make some Christmas Gift tags.
