Butterfly Stained Glass Effect Card Front 1Completed by Donna Ritchie

This is a quick, yet stunning, card if made by simply flat sticking the design to a gold or maroon card front and adding one of the tags. I did a little more to make it 3D. I printed the design twice on matte photo paper. I then cut the stained glass out of the centre panel and raised the rest of the design on foam squares before adding it to my maroon card. I flat stuck the centre panel pieces back in place.

I cut the inner wings from the 2nd copy of the design and painted the body with gold Stickles glue. Once this was dry I used double sided tape to join just the body to the design on the card, this left the wings free to 'flap'. I finished by cutting out the 'Happy birthday' tag and sticking just the edges across the bottom of the card.
