Love You Always

Roses tied with a red ribbon in a frame of beautiful glowing black pearls, is a perfect image to portray the meaning of love for a loved one’s birthday, graduation, Mother’s day and even the up- coming celebration of Valentine’s day.

I have used this beautiful image as the topper on a Valentine’s greeting card. I printed the sheet twice onto the same 120gsm white card and used one main image as the main backing sheet to mount, using D.S. tape, onto a 14cm square gold foil backing sheet and then onto the cream 15.5x15cm card front.

I used a decorative gold peel off strip on the red section of the main image and a different gold decorative peel off strip along the cream card front edges.

I then use a decorative bottle green decorative peel off strip along the edges of the gold foil backing sheet.

I then used the second copy to carefully cut, with scissors, to remove the red frame to retain for the insert and keep the square shaped silver sparkling main image complete with the black pearls to then attach to the card front using padded D.S. tape.

To complete the insert I have used the design by Clare Walker, red hearts Backing background sheet, cup844545_79993, which I was lucky to receive in the Vault Free list, and printed it onto copy paper.

I used one 14x12cm to attach to an A4 plain white copy paper cut down to measure 15cm high and attached it to the left hand side and added some embellishments.

I then used the red frame I had reserved to attach some strips of the same backing sheet and then attached this onto the right hand side of the insert.

I added some embellishments before attaching this insert into the inside of the card using D.S. tape.

I used the 2 miniature versions of the topper to trim the red edged so that the edges were then equal in width, and mounted them onto gold foil before attaching them to white scored and folded cards.

The side opening gift card front measures 8 x 7.5cm and the Easel style opening gift card front measures 8.5cm square.
