Lovely Steam Train and Coaches Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Definitely one for the train enthusiast. A life like image of a steam train roaring into the station. I printed several copies onto matt and gloss card, as I have already used this one twice. For this copy I cut out the main section of the steam train, keeping the fine black line intact, and used padded double sided tape to attach it to a matt copy, of the same image that also included the spot frame and the weathered grey area. I used gold peel off fine line strips to high light the depth on this second copy, on the inside edge of the spot frame and the outside edge of the weathered grey area. I found 4 ols shirt buttons and used a black thread to sew spokes onto the front of the buttons, and a yellow thread to make a cross in the centre of each one. These I glued onto the corners with white glue and set aside to dry. I made the card in a firm black card, 28cm x 14.5cm. I made a backing sheet for this in white 14x13.5cm. I wanted to make this appear aged as well so I used a light brown alcohol pen to stripe, around all the edges to hide the white card, but allowed some areas to appear smudged.. I used double sided padded tape to attach this to the black card. I then used the same padded tape to attach the completed topper and the sentiment.

Thank you for also including a tiny version as I was able to use this as a gift card for my friend. Who was greatly impressed with my skills, so a hug and many thanks. I will have to keep a list of whom I have given this card to. It would be embarrassing to give the same card again.
