Perfume

This is a perfect design for that special lady in your life whether it be a birthday, Mother’s Day or just for fun, to be the topper for that special card.

I printed the sheet offered at 17.9 x 12.5cm onto 170gsm white satin finished card 4 times as I wanted to cut away some of the elements to add dimension using decoupage.

I used 3 different backing sheets. The first is white and cut at 10.5cm square and attached to the main full image using red power tape.

I then defined the edges with a bullet tipped permanent metallic teal coloured pen.

The pink 11.5x11.25cm backing sheet matches the butterfly and the black 12.75 x12.5cm backing sheet are the attached use in D.S. tape to complete the topper which is then attached the colourful card front.

The main card is a a print of a hotch-potch type of patch work using matte for the pink, orange and hot pink with gloss gold randomly scattered in between.

The main card is cut at 28x14cm, scored and folded before attaching the finished topper.

The alternative side of this print I have used as the backing for the insert. I used the second copy of the main image to cut out, from the grey panelling, the complete central image and attach it in place using padded D.S tape cut to fit.

The third image I have cut and retained the butterfly the perfume label, the rose Lipstick and leaves.

The fourth image completes the decoupage with the extra butterfly, the rose and petals. These elements are all attached using D.S. tape cut to size.

I have added the white stitched pink bow and tails, the birthday sentiment, some gems to the butterfly and rose, the gem strips around the edge of the black backing sheet and glitter sliver peel off strip to the edge of the pink backing sheet as embellishments to complete the card front.

I copied the insert print onto copy paper and attached it to the insert section and attached a smaller version of the finished card front, The verse I have chosen is also attached and both the photo and the verse are edged with pink peel off strips.
