Gertrude Grew an Old Friend Quick Card
a quick make topper sheet featuring Gurtrude who loves her gardening, she is looking at one of her plants and thinking of her friend her comment being.... It takes a long time to grow an old friend. Happy birthday my old friend. oh what a sweet sentiment Gertrude.

I printed on Crafty bob's glossy paper,cut out the elements, matted the main image on purple mirri card and attached this to a pale pink marbled bookfold card base using DST. I edged the image with a fine silver peeloff border and attached the parts with 2mm foam.
to decorate I placed purple gems in each corner,added a touch of cristal glitter to the daisy centre, 2 tiny pink pearls for the polo shirt buttons and a a peel off heart for the plant pot.
I love this easy to make, humorous card dedicated to old friends.
I printed the sheet onto A5 size matte photo paper, cut out the pieces and mounted the main image onto a 14.5cm. sq. card.
I added the layers using sticky pads and completed the card with some gems.
