Red Roses and Babys BreathCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I really do love the flower designs that Ceredwyn offers for purchase, they look so realistic and make into absolutely beautiful greeting cards, and this one is no exception.

I printed the sheet provided onto 120gsm white CB matte card and cut out the main design.

I cut a 24cm length deep red, almost burgundy, 2.5cm wide satin ribbon and attached it across horizontally at the back of the main image 2cm down from the top edge.

I used D.S padded tape to attach this to a gold satin finished backing sheet cut at 13.5 x 13cm.

I made a black backing sheet cut at 14 x 13.5 and attached it with very thin padded D.S. tape.

Before I attached these to the main card I wrapped the ribbon tails around to the back of the black backing sheet and secured them with D.S. tape.

I made the main card from a linen look delicate off white rose print, and printed it onto both sides of a 120gsm matte card.

I cut it at 15 x 14.5cm then scored and folded it before attaching the topper using padded broad strips of D.S. tape.

I made a second copy of the sheet provided onto CB white gloss 120gsm photo copy paper and cut out the rose spray, keeping intact the visible scallop edges and overhanging leaves and petals.

I used padded D.S. tape to attach this to the card front. I made a bow with the same ribbon using the rabbit ears method and attached it using red power tape.

I attached strings of peel off pearls around the exposed edges of the black backing sheet.

To finish the insert, I used the Gloss copy to cut out the tiny image and the corner gold scrolls and attached them to the left hand side.

I wrote the verse that suits my elderly 101 year old Aunt and Uncle to whom I write every week and send a card.

I printed the verse onto a copy paper version of the print I used for the main card and attached it to the right hand side.

I am more than delighted with the outcome. I will be able to use this purchase many times over due to the versatility and universal usability of the floral design.
