Lady in the FlowersCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

A lovely lady with a very chic posture, surrounded by very exotic flowers and an over all feeling of well being and confidence is portrayed in this delightful topper.

It lends itself to a very simple, one copy, easy and quick card, suitable for all and every female celebration. I made this card in a step by step method, so I needed to copy it 3 times. The card is a pale pink, 28 cm x 14.5 folded easel style. I made 2 other backing sheets, using the shades within the art work itself. The orange card 13 x 13.25cm I attached to the main pink card with the red double sided tape. The blue backing sheet I attached next is 12.25 x 12.75 and is attached to the orange backing sheet with padded tape. I then attached a 10cm tiny doily to the top right hand corner with a little white glue, and then to this I attached a copy of the topper as on the sheet provided, with double sided tape. From the second copy of the topper that I had printed, I cut away the pink outer frame, and then attached the inner part of the topper, onto another piece of light card, the same size, 11cm x 10.5cm, with double sided tape. I used a plain gold peel off strip to colour with an alcohol pen in a copper shade and edged this topper with the strips and used padded tape to attach this on to the card. I then used the third copy to cut out the elements I needed for the step by step. Starting with the lady I cut around carefully and only used the brim of the hat to give the completed card more depth. I cut out the 2 hibiscus and one or 2 leaves and used padded tiny squares to attach all the elements in place. I made a bow with a pale pink grosgrain ribbon and used the sentiment which I also mounted with padded tape. I made the insert with a pearl, ivory sheet and used the smaller image on the left hand side. I added 6 or 7 tiny dots to each of the rhinestone images, and to the deep orange shaded tiny dots as well, with a silver glitter pen. If you like fiddling and cutting with the lovely designs Ceredwyn provides for us to purchase, I recommend this is a must for your stash.

Thank you Ceredwyn for another lovely design
