It never ceases to amaze me just how many different stunningly beautiful floral card front designs Ceredwyn is able to surprise us with.
This is no exception with beautiful peony roses with silver and green foliage.
I printed the sheet provided twice onto the same Crafty Bob A4 gloss 200gsm card and used one of the copies as the main backing sheet o attach to a 13.5cm square pale pink swirl backing sheet using D.S. tape.
I then used two 9cm doilies to smudge, one quite heavily and the other ever so lightly with my mauve alcohol permanent pen.
I then attached these to the card topper.
I used the same pen to define the edges of the backing sheet and to colour the decorative silver peel off strip, which I then attached to the outside edges of the main image.
I then used a 2.5cm wide mauve satin ribbon and a silver 1cm wide silver ribbon to attach horizontally across the topper front, so that the top edge of the mauve ribbon is 6cm up from the bottom edge of the backing sheet.
I secured the tails at the back and then used my mauve alcohol permanent pen to colour and define the edges of the backing sheet and to colour the silver peel off decorative strips, which I then attached to the outer edges of the main image.
I then cut out from the second copy of the design the sentiment which I trimmed down to fit and sit almost in the exact position as on the main image, and attached the tiny silver bow, before trimming the flower spray and attaching it using padded D.S. squares.
I added the extra sentiment and gems as embellishments.
To complete the insert I printed the background backing sheet cup954239_21027 onto a mauve backing sheet and attached this to the centre of the open card and attached a mauve smudged 9cm doily and a mauve ribbon on the left hand side, and one of the gift card sized prints as an opening gift card on the right hand side.
I made 2 of these gift cards, the one which is on this card and one which is now a spare, ready to attach to the gift.
Thank you Ceredwyn, I am sending you a big hug. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus
