Flowers For Someone SpecialCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Anemones and stephanotis with ferns in a bright bouquet, beautifully surrounded by mauve and gold frames is a welcome sight to greet any recipient, for any celebration or occasion.

I printed the sheet provided onto matte CB 200gsm card twice and used the first copy as the main backing sheet.

The second sheet I used to make a simple decoupage. I cut away the gold frame, and used a gold metallic pen to colour the frame. I then used tiny spots of white glue to attach it on top of the main backing sheet.

I used a 2.5cm wide Green organza ribbon to attach across the front of this, 3cm up from the bottom, using D.S. tape.

Still using the second copy, I then cut out main element of the bouquet, and using small padded D.S squares and dots, attached this to the front of the main backing sheet, over the top of the organza ribbon.

I made 2 backing sheets, a swirl burgundy and bright pink patterned card which measures 13 x 12.5 cm, and a white which measures 14 x 13cm.

I coloured the edges of the burgundy backing sheet with a dark burgundy pen, and the white card with a deep rose pink pen, and then attached them both to a deep rose pink card front which measures 15 x14.25 cm, using D.S tape.

I then attached the completed topper using D.S tape. I used some very pale dusty pink peel off strips to attach around the edge of the gold frame and added 19 mauve jewels to the top and bottom edges of the main mauve frame.

To make the insert, I used a piece of lighter weight rose pink card to cut at 27.5 x 14.5 cm and attached some paper lace to the left hand and right hand edges.

I cut out and used one of the smaller images to attach in the centre of the left hand side of the insert.

I used a pencil and then a black permanent fine pen to draw 3 anemone lowers and cut them out, coloured them with water colour pencils and attached them to a pink oval and then using D.S. tape attached them to the right hand side leaving a space for my personal greeting.

To finish the card I added the sentiment to a 3 step concertina tag, and tied the simple onestep bow, and attached them both with D.S. tape.
