Beautiful Roses on Sheet Music with Birthday Verse 4Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionFour beautiful full blown roses, adorn this design, by Ceredwyn Macrae. An ambience of serenity, and of old world charm and nostalgia, and definitely, as a received card, it is a gardeners’ delight. The design lends itself to a quick and easy card make. However, for this card, I chose to print the sheet supplied, off twice. The first copy, I used as the main topper. I cut out this main element, and then used a blue permanent pen to colour the edges. I then made a white backing sheet which measures, 13cm x 10cm. I coloured the edges with the same pen, and then attached the ribbon across the front, 4 cm up from the bottom edge. I attached the topper to this, with padded D.S. tape. I then used the second copy, to cut out the main element, and then to cut out the three main roses, including and keeping, the left hand pink bud, intact. I then trimmed away, some of the very outside edges of some of the petals. In some cases, this was as little as 1 or 2 mm. I attached these roses to the topper with tiny padded squares. I then cut out the fourth white rose, at the top of the scene, keeping the stem intact. I then cut away, the very top petal, and the petal on the right hand side. I attached all these roses using, tiny, D.S. padded squares. This gave the card and roses, a 3 dimensional look. I made, 2 backing sheets, the first one is the cup827619_79993, design, by Clare Walker, called Botanical Leaf in Blue. This blue backing sheet measures, 14 x 10.75cm. It is attached to the white backing sheet by D.S. tape. I then wrapped the ribbon around to the back, of the blue backing sheet, and secured it at the back. The second backing sheet, I used, is a deep pink rose colour, and measures, 14.25 x 11.25cm. This I attached with D.S. tape, to the blue backing sheet. I made the white card, to measure, 24 x 14.5, and before I scored and folded the card, I used, the blue pen to colour all the edges. I then used D.S. tape to attach the completed topper, to this card front. For the insert, I used the same dark rose pink card, which I cut to fit, and attached the supplied greeting, on the right hand side of the insert. With the leaves and buds left over from copy 2, of the topper, I used white glue, to attach some of these, by making 2 sprays, on the left hand side, of the insert. This is a beautiful topper, and one so versatile, it is able to be used, for so many occasions and celebrations. I can see myself using this design many more times. Thank you Ceredwyn.
