Beautiful Pink Magnolias and Corner Scrolls Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have used this stunningly beautiful image of magnolias today to make 2 greeting cards. The base card size and design is exactly the same and I have used different embellishments and suitable sentiments to define the occasion.

I printed the sheet provided 3 times to complete each of the cards. The main pink with white spot main card is printed onto both sides and cut at 24x14cm, then scored and folded before attaching the finished backing sheets which form part of the topper.

I have used the same pink spot print copied slightly larger to then cut at 11x 6.5cm and a dusty dark rose pink card cut at 11x4.5cm and attached, using D.S. tape, these to a pale pink card cut at 11.25cm square.

To this backing sheet, I attached a copy of the main image, which I had cut out leaving a very tiny white margin, which measures 10.25cm square.

I have attached the rose pink satin ribbon across this main image and the join between the 2 backing sheets and secured it at the back before attaching this part of the topper to the card front using D.S. tape.

I used the second copy to cut out the central frame around the magnolias, keeping the leaves which over hang.

I have used D.S. padded tape to attach this to the card front.

I have used the third copy of the sheet provided to cut out the magnolias without the dark leaves and without the very background buds and attached this to the card front using small D.S. padded squares.

This has given the image more definition with a very pleasing affect. I have used coloured gems and different bows and different sentiments and different verses as seen in the photographs. I have also made several gift cards and tags, using the smaller image supplied.

There are still many options to explore with this design as it has so many usable and universal appeals and the sentiments supplied make it a very easy task to make a cut and paste quick card.
