Beautiful Painted Blue Infussion Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have really loved making this greeting card, designed by Ceredwyn, I was able to use all the easy techniques I really enjoy when I am making a beautiful card from a beautiful topper.

I printed the sheet twice onto the same A4 120gsm white sheet and reserved one copy to be able to use the main elements as part of the decoupage for the card front and the frame as part of the insert.

The main card is cut at 29 x 15.5cm from an A4 gloss white 200gsm Crafty Bob supply and scored and folded.

I set this aside while I completed the topper.

I attached the main image onto a 13cm square pink/mauve backing sheet and then onto the 14.5cm square royal blue backing sheet.

I then joined 2 lengths of lace to a royal blue ribbon so that the scallops were visible and used D.S. tape to attach this across the front of the topper with the centre of the ribbon 5cm down from the top edge.

I then attached the silver peel off strips over the pink mauve backing sheet before wrapping the lace and ribbon around to the back of the royal blue backing sheet, to secure it with red power tape.

I completed the decoupage before attaching this topper to the card front.

I used the second sheet to carefully cut out the floral element keeping as much of the lace frame as possible and reserving some tiny little extra pieces of flowers to attach over the holes left from cutting out the flowers.

I have used padded D.S. tape down the centre vertically of the floral decoupage item and curved the element so that it would add extra dimension, then added thickened white glue to all the outer edges to make sure it was well attached.

I made the lace backed pansy, and I have written a free tutorial for this on my home page, If you wish to use this, but a commercial flower would suffice.

I have attached the topper with red power tape to the card front and then stitched the ribbon to the back of the lace backed flower before attaching it to the card front using thickened white glue.

I have used the sentiment to attach to a mauve/pink backing sheet and attached it to look like a tag attached to the lace backed flower.

For the insert I have used a delicate pink/mauve print cut to size and attached the reserved frame and tiny flowers to the right hand side.

I have left the bottom of the frame un-attached as I want to slide an appropriate verse into and under the frame when the appropriate occasion arises.

This is a stunning design, to suit so many occasions and celebrations, with pleasing results. I will have many uses for this design. I have made 2 small gift cards using the small elements provided with the sheet. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
